I first met S.J. Tucker at Circle Sanctuary's 2007 Midsummer Pagan Spirit Gathering. She was fire dancing with a group, standing on top of a triangular pillar of dancers. Wow, very impressive! Next day she and her djembe were entrancing us at the morning meeting as she performed "A Hymn To Herne". So great!!! I invited her to our Salem Samhain Hallows Rite on Gallows Hill the following October to share that with us in ritual invocation and she accepted! Yay! She also was kind enough to add her beautiful voice to my "Spirit Nation" recording. Love this woman! One of my favorite recordings! Claim your while supplies last...
Named a vanguard of the Mythpunk movement and even “the face of neo-tribal Paganism” by Witches & Pagans Magazine, S.J. Tucker is the voice of lore at the campfire and the sharp laughter of modern myth. With one hand anchored in her art and the other held out to you, she is songs and stories, community and wit.
"Without our songs and stories, we are nothing.” - S. J. Tucker
Some reviews:
"The most sacred, most highly evolved body of pagan work I have ever experienced. SJ walks her path, and it shows."- Ginger Doss of Dreamtrybe and Velvet Hammer
“S. J. Tucker sounds like no one else out there. I’m not sure if she is fairy, shape-shifter, otherworldly, or just a super intelligent, super perceptive young woman. All I know, she makes beautiful music that is unusually beautiful. Critics have compared [her singing] to Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos, her guitar style to Emily Saliers. I believe she is a complete original coming straight from Neverland where Magick is real. I love this woman. She touches the heart.”- Phil King, Audiofuzz.com
